CHEF LAURENT ROBIC
Always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower? Now you can not only do that (well, a replica of the famous tower, anyway); but, you can also get a taste of the best of France. In the vintage French cafe, tucked away in the lower level of the new Villa Macri in Toscana Park shopping plaza on the northern fringe of the Mishawaka corporate limits, you can learn the art of French cooking (or basic cooking for that matter) from a delightful French chef, Chef Laurent Robic.
After meeting his wife, Kathy, in Paris, Chef Laurent came to Indiana from France via Chicago—(via Paris, London, Germany, and Canada). He has been featured in Lake Magazine, IN Michiana, Life & Spaces, The South Bend Tribune, WNIT Open Studio, WSBT's Darla's Dish on Saturday mornings, and most recently as a part of the WSBT Early Morning Show Live Fox 28 News.
Learning to cook from his mother, Christiane, as a young boy in Brittany, France, Chef Laurent was taught the value of cooking from the heart—using fresh vegetables which he and his father gathered from their garden, and making everything from scratch. His passion is contagious. After a few minutes in his kitchen, we began to believe that we too could make mouth watering dishes our family and guests would remember.
Not really into cooking? Do you just want to be able to spend time with your guests instead of in the kitchen? Chef Laurent will come to your home and prepare a meal for private parties of any size. You can even turn it into an event, as he loves to tell his secrets about the preparation of the dishes in a way that only an authentic French accent can truly make momentous.

So rich, you can only eat one in a sitting; but, so wonderful, you'll find yourself talking about them to everyone you meet.
A wonderful addition to our community! We highly recommend you stop in and visit Chef Laurent!
